BMW X3 - luxury compact crossover German company BMW. The first generation X3 is designed and manufactured in partnership with Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria. The second generation of the crossover was introduced in July 2010, car production began on 1 September 2010. As of July 2010 around the world have been sold around 600 000 copies of BMW X3.

Also in the United States will be offered X3 xDrive 28i with atmospheric engine (243 hp), and in Europe will present the turbo X3 xDrive 20d (184 hp). The base transmission for all models will be an 8-speed automatic transmission, to modify the xDrive 20d and offer 6-speed manual transmission.

Production of the crossover of the second generation have been deployed at BMW in Spartanburg (South Carolina), September 1, 2010, immediately after the disappearance of the assembly line in the back of the last X3 (E83). For the production of this car was brought an additional 500 workers.
